Wow!
Having red this post, I am somewhat depressed, that we dont have something like this in Austria. (The meanig is even I, a political scientist from Vienna, Austria, understand fully what this is about. And have yet to find anything equally lucid about taxation and politics in my country.

I still believe that the tax base should be set on what the public believes to be sound principles, and there should be only one tax base. I never liked the idea of a secondary tax system, and I still don't.
