Excellent sentiment and analysis.
My observations were similiar to yours, but I had not considered that real estate speculators would be exercising the $7,000 tax credit. Having not read the details of the legislation, shouldn't there be a requirement that the family must live in the home for at least two years as their primary residence? With all the Florida condos on the market, I can foresee a number of SnowBirds "buying" now with the intent on selling their traditional home over the next few years.
