Citizens for Tax Justice has announced that it is seeking to hire a tax professional with some experience in corporate tax. See this announcement. The person would write reports on corporate loopholes or legislative proposals, identifying problems and suggesting remedies. In addition, the person would be expected to analyze federal tax proposals for their impact on states, and research state ballot initiatives for their impact on public services and/or inordinate benefits to the affluent.
Sounds like a dream job for anyone with corporate tax experience who is interested in being in on the ground floor as a new regime takes office and new opportunities for change present themselves. Adding points for anyone interested, the director of CTJ, Robert McIntyre, is being recognized this year by OMBWatch at its 25th anniversary celebration for his leadership in the public service.
